Did You Know? - Llama Trading, dA on Twitter

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 30, 2012, 7:02 PM
Llama Trading Game

Suggested by Nichrysalis (and others) and written by bradleysays.

Did you know that you can trade points for Llamas? You can do this by using llamatrade - and here's how it works.

When you're on the llamatrade page, you will see the 'Make an Offer' widget, which is illustrated below.

Now, to fill in your offer information. :)

:points: per badge: this value is the number of points you are giving to the people that give you llamas via llamatrade. If you are unsure, most people stick with 1 point per llama.

Total :points:: this is the total number of points you are willing to give away via llamatrade. For example, if you are trading 1 point per llama, and set your "Total :points:" to 200, you will be able to receive 200 llamas before running out of points for that offer.

Type in your password and click the check box (once you've read the T&C ;p) and you're ready to 'Make an Offer'! Once you've clicked 'Make an Offer', deviants will be able to see your offer on the llamatrade page (illustrated below). :D

Now you know how to play the Llama Trading Game! :eager:

Okay the Llama trade for points was super efficient ! XD In less than 10 seconds I got 100 Llamas :squee: Thank you for this ^^
I wanted to ask though, how can i give a Llama badge too? Like in here [link]
That will only show up on ~llamatrade when someone is offering a trade. :) If there's nothing there, then no one is currently trading. :D

Ugh, I feel I have to make it a point to say: The llama trading is a complete scam. Yes, you may be getting llamas for whatever money you are giving up, but it is money you are giving up for a fricken llama. And also, one point is worth about one cent, rounded. So. Fuck all your llama trading. I am very against any sort of llama trading, especially with points.

I can understand that..
but can't you say that about dA membership as well?
Paying for something virtual, whether a llama or not?
Not really something you can put in your pocket..
